Arsenal will have a new signing when the team play Fulham in a London Derby this weekend. The Guardian, a UK newspaper’s website are reporting that Arsenal will be resigning former defensive Midfielder Mathieu Flamini on time for the team’s match against Fulham on Saturday.
Arsene Wenger is poised to resign the French man on a free transfer according to Guardian. The French man who left Arsenal in 2009 after spending 4 years with the London club has only recently rejected an offer to renew his contract with AC Milan and has been training with Arsenal in order to regain fitness.
Although West Ham and Fulham are also interested in signing Flamini, Arsenal however stand a better chance as both clubs are not willing to pay his 75,000 pounds per week wage demands which shouldn’t be a problem for Arsenal who are now apparently relaxing the rigid Wage structure.
With Arteta out and Diaby also out as always, Wenger has set his mind on signing a new defensive midfielder and has seen a bid rejected for Newcastle United’s Cabaye. The Gunners are also trying to sign Real Madrid’s Di Maria and Karim Benzema.
