Arsenal agree fee for Calum Chambers

The Gunners are set to sign Southampton youngster
Arsenal have reportedly agreed a fee with Southampton for young right-back Calum Chambers.

The Saints defender impressed many with his performances last season, and the 19-year-old is now set to sign a long-term contract at the Emirates Stadium after the two clubs held secret talks last week.

According to a BBC reporter, a fee has been agreed and Chambers even took his medical on Friday afternoon, so the deal could be announced as soon as early next week once the squad return from America.
The fee is reported around £7million-£12m, and it will be Arsenal's third signing of the Summer, with three more potentially expected.
Arsene Wenger has been scouting Chambers in recent months, and after making 24 appearances last term, the Frenchman has been impressed from what he's seen from the England U-21 international.
Chambers is seen as a back-up option for Mathieu Debuchy, and it will see Carl Jenkinson and Hector Bellerin both leave on loan.
