Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has told reporters his club will definitely be signing new players before they play their champions league 3rd round qualifier this month. Although Arsenal has been linked so far in this transfer window to so many big name players, they have only successfully completed the signing of Yaya Sanogo from France in a free transfer.
Speaking to journalists after losing to Didier Drogba’s Galatasary, the French man said :
“Let’s count first on what’s here, if we can add something, we will do,” Wenger told a news conference following Arsenal’s 2-1 loss to Galatasaray in the Emirates Cup.
“It’s very difficult to predict that it will all be sorted out before we play [the] Champions League qualifier.
“I think we have enough quality to achieve qualification with the players that we have at the moment.
“If we have more, even better.”
Wenger also confirmed Gervinho is close to signing for As Roma in a permanent move while Chamakh is also set to join Crystal Palace after spending the last season on loan to West Ham.
“Gervinho is on a good way to Roma, and Chamakh on good way to Crystal Palace,”Wenger added
