3. Alexis Sanchez – 84 (FIFA 14 – 82)

Perennially underrated while at Barcelona, it is typical of Alexis Sanchez’s time with the Catalan giants that they should let him go after he has just had the best season of his career. Not only did the Chilean winger manage to net an impressive 19 league goals with the likes of Messi and Neymar on the field but he also provided 10 assists.
Sanchez’s superb league form carried over into the World Cup where he was at the centre of the impressive Chilean side which not only knocked Spain out of the competition but which was inches away from defeating the host nation Brazil in the round of 16.

It was doubtless the excellent performances in Brazil which cemented Arsene Wenger’s decision to pay £35 million to bring the 25-year-old to the Emirates. Indeed Wenger was part of the French announce team in Brazil so he likely experienced Sanchez’s greatness first hand. Interestingly, in FIFA 14 Sanchez had been downgraded by a massive 3 points from his FIFA 13 rating. The leaked rating suggest that Arsenal’s new signing has been boosted to 84, though he is more than deserving of returning to his FIFA 13 rating of 85.
